You can take your career back a few notches, turn down big-money gigs and work with some credible young guns – it’s hardly a foolproof thing, but it might be very rewarding-, or you can just get a load of pop stars in, which is what Sharam has done…
… on his new album, which is (improperly) called Get Wild. It’s out on Saturday 4th April on Ultra, if that’s what you’re into.
Oh Sharam, where did it go wrong? Where did you get the idea that having Daniel Bedingfield (a sub-par UK R’n'B singer) on your album was even vaguely acceptable? Was it at the same time as you decided to theme your upcoming album – and live show – around the Wild West? Did you lose a bet to Ali, is this what it’s all about?
Our incredulity aside, Sharam’s not been lazy, we’ll say that much. He’s collaborated with the likes of P. Diddy and Tommy Lee from Motley Crue, as well as Kid Cudi too. And we hear that he’s written and directed a short Western, visuals from which will be included in his new live show. So, Wild Wild West goes house, anyone? Because that went so well for Will Smith…
